Overview

This is a Ferrari Roma. It is a grand touring, 2-door, high performance sports car by Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari S.p.A. It was introduced in 13th November 2019 and on 14th November 2019 it was unveiled in the city of Rome. The name Roma comes from the ancient Roman Mythology. The car is based on the Portfino and is placed between the Portfino and F8 Tributo. The Roma is targeted at the Porsche 911 and Aston Martin buyers and also stated that most of the buyers are new Ferrari owners.

Exterior

It is 2-door GT styled coupe and was designed by Flavio Manzoni at Ferrari. The theme for the Roma was La Nuova Dolce Vita which means “pleasurable way of life”, in a sense the Roma departures from current Ferrari road car styling. The overall exterior is a reminiscent of the 250GTO race car, 250GT Lusso and 250GT 2+2 GT cars. It also shares deep roots with the 612 Scaglietti. The front end is inspired from the SF90 Stradale whereas the side profile is of 812 Superfast. Significant design features include body colored grille, flushed door handles, slim LED headlights up front and rear, chin spoiler and active rear wing that is flushed at speed under 100km/h.

Interior

The interior starts with the key which is new to Ferrari as it is rectangle shaped and wrapped in leather. There is also an option for a Ferrari badge on the other side also. Inside the guage cluster is fully digital which is not seen in many ongoing Ferrari so this introduces the new guage cluster with the touch sensitive screen on the steering wheel which can be used to start/stop the car, with many other steering wheel options. The interior centre console also has almost to none usage of buttons as everything is integrated to the infotainment screen. In all the interior does not use any physical button but instead uses touch sensitive screens or infotainment screen and only for changing gears the car uses physical switch instead of gear lever. The interior also has rear seats with trunk capacity of 10 cubic feet and when the seats are folded down it creates 14 cubic feet of trunk capacity. Ferrari also gives you the option to get Ferrari specific luggage that fits perfectly into the trunk.

Power and Output

The Ferrari Roma is powered by a 3.9L turbocharged V8 with DOHC design which produces 612HP between 5750rpm and 7500rpm and 761Nm(561lb-ft) of torque between 3000rpm and 5750rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual clutch F1 transmission from the SF90. It also uses a redesigned exhaust system which uses a particulate system (similar to diesel particulate system) for emissions regulations. The Roma has a top speed of >390km/h(199mph) and goes from 0-100km/h(0-62mph) in 3.4s.
