This is a Ferrari 488 Pista Spider. It is a mid-engined supercar by Italian Performance car manufacturer Ferrari. This is the convertible version of the track version of the 488 Pista and the successor to the Ferrari 458. The coupé was unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2018, and the Spider version was unveiled at The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 2018. The Pista was inspired by the 488 Challenge and the 488 GTE. It has received many mechanical and exterior modifications to make it better than 488 GTB. The Spider also has same specifications, which gives it the same performance as that of the coupé version and is lighter than it's coupé counterpart which makes this the first roadgoing Ferrari to be lighter than the coupé. The Spider also marks the debut of the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer, a new lateral dynamics control which according to Ferrari makes "on-the-limit driving more intuitive, controllable and predictable".
The car was designed by Flavio Manzoni. It was designed to increase downforce by 50% by 458. The front has double front splitters which channels air to the underbody vortex to create ground effect without creating unnecessary drag and also increases the radiator cooling by forcing air into it. The new rear spoiler in the back is actually a slotted flap which increases the downforce without raising the wing. The door handles in this car is shaped as shark-fins to improve the airflow. The side air-intakes are a homage to the 308GTB. Air entering through the top air-intake is partially directed to the turbochargers. The rest enters through the rear and exits from the intakes beside the tail-lights in the rear. Other than that the exterior is similar to the 458 (which looks good) just with more curves and some design changes which are mentioned above.
The interior of this car is made of Alcantara and carbon fibre pieces. Most of the controls are faced towards the driver as this is a driver focussed car. The interior doesn't have a door handle, instead it's an Alcantara door pull. The interior does not have much storage, but it does have some nets to place small items. Most of the controls are steering wheel mounted including the start/stop button, indicators, wiper controls, etc.. The seats are racing-bucket seats made of Alcantara and carbon fibre. The guage cluster is semi-analog as in it has screen and an analog tachometer. The screen has many featurs like lap-telemtry system, navigation system, etc.. The paddle shifts are fixed to the steering column and are made of carbon fibre. There are some plastic pieces like the climate control is made of plastic, the seat buckles, etc.. In all the interior feels like race-car, but this car is a race-car for road.
The 488 Pista is powered by a 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 producing 710HP at 8000rpm and 770Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque at 3000rpm, all thanks to the new camshafts, larger intercooler, stronger pistons, titanium connecting rod and Inconel exhaust system from the 488 Challenge version. The car also uses a revised 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which decreases the shift time to 30 seconds when in race mode. The car also has the optional 20inch carbon fibre wheels which decreases the weight by 20%. Overall by the usage of lightweight materials reduces the weight by 91kg (200lb) from the 488GTB. The car has a top speed of 340km/h (211mph) and has a 0-100km/h (0-62mph) time of 2.85 seconds. The spider version is similar to the coupé version, with the difference being that it is 1380kg (3042lb) lighter than the coupé version and it includes 20inch diamond cut finish alloy wheels which is 20% lighter than forged wheels and it does have an option of the carbon fibre wheels.
