This is a LaFerrari. It is a limited production hybrid sports car (hypercar) by Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. It is the last mid-mounted Ferrari with V12 (as of now). Only 710 of these cars were produced (500 coupé and 210 convertible canvas-top or removable carbon-fibre top called Aperta) and the production period was from 2013-18 (2013-2016 coupé and 2016-2018 convertibles). The name LaFerrari is an Italian word for "The Ferrari". The LaFerrari was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show. The Aperta version was unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. All production units were sold to customers via an invitation only. Between the years 2014-15, 85 coupé units were recalled due to some problems one of which is for the replacement of fuel tank due to incorrect adhesion between the fuel tank and layer of paint and this problem could've lead to fire.
The exterior of this car was designed by Centro Stile Ferrari under the leadership of Flavio Manzoni and a total of 5 conceptual studies were considered (originally 9) of which 3 were by Centro Stile Ferrari and 2 by Pininfarina and then 2 full-size concepts were built. The LaFerrari is similar to the LaFerrari Concept Manta (as for the other concept, the design is used for the developement of SF90 Stradale). The car is very distinctive looking and has many vents (which are functional) and a single windshield wiper on the windscreen. The doors on the car are butterfly doors (swan doors for Aperta). the mirrors of this car stick out to give it the best aerodynamics and the body has a 50-50 weight distribution. It is also the first Flagship Ferrari since Dino 308 GT4 (1973) to not have design elements from Pininfarina. Unlike other Ferraris, this car does not has the Ferrari emblem on the side fenders as that are is covered by it's doors, so the Ferrari emblem is placed on the door. The doors are pretty big as it incorporates an aerodynamic feature for improved performance and faster engine cooling. Other than that the car is extemely beatiful and is very exciting.
The interior is a really strong centre-piece of the car made out of carbon-fibre. The seats inside are fixed as making them adjustable would mean that there would be a compromise of headroom and weight distribution, so the pedals are adjustable via a lever under the driver's seat. The storage inside is very little. There are multiple nets on the interior at many places. The steering wheel is not a circular one, but it is actually a rectangular shaped. The steering wheel also has many of the car controls integrated into it, for example the indicators, wiper controls, vehicle mode, etc.. The warning lights of this car is not placed on the guage cluster, instead it is on a little screen on the side near the middle AC vents and is faced directly towards the driver. The car is also equipped with a digital guage cluster. Other than that the interior has many carbon-fibre pieces for weight reduction.
The LaFerrari is powered by a 6.3L V12 engine and an electric motor which produces a combined power of 950HP (789 by it's combustion engine and 161HP by it's electric motor) at 9000rpm and 900Nm (700Nm by it's combustion engine and 200Nm by it's electric motor) at 6750rpm. It has a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission mated to the engine. It has a top speed of 220mph (350km/h) and it goes from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in under 3 seconds. The car is equipped with Brembo carbon-ceramic disc brakes both at front and rear and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres both at front and rear. It also has numerous electronic controls like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), high performance ABS/EBD (Anti-lock Braking System/Electronic Brake Distribution), etc., which are controlled by it's on-board computer system developed by Magnetti Marelli Automotive Lighting.
