Overview

This is a Rolls Royce Wraith Black Badge Edition. It is a full-size luxury car by British car manufacturer Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. It is based on the chassis of the Rolls-Royce Ghost. The word Wraith comes from a Scottish word which means 'ghost' or 'spirit'. It shares it's name with 1983 Rolls-Royce by original Rolls-Royce Company. It is a 2-door coupé with suicide doors which means that the doors are rear-hinged. This body style was popular in American cars during 1950s and 60s and was known as hardtop body style, which was not used by Rolls-Royce until 1955. The standard Wraith was unveiled in 2013 during the Geneva Motor Show whose deliveries started during fourth quarter of 2013 and Black Badge was unveiled in 2016.

Exterior

The exterior has the hood ornament known as the 'Spirit of Ecstacy' which is retractable as they are made of silver chrome, crystal or gold, it depends on the owner which one he wants. And since it is a Black Badge it has dark chrome 'Spirit of Ecstacy' and due to that it is retractable so as to keep it secure due to it's high value as one of these costs from $2,000-$200,000. It can also be retracted from the infotainment system whether you want to be automatic, outside or inside. The exterior also has a rear hinged doors, known as suicide doors and after being opened can be closed by a button on the door-handle or the button inside the car. Inside the fender there is a heated pouch like location has an umbrella and this heat keeps the umbrella warm and dry and can be removed via a button. The car was designed by Giles Taylor and honestly it's teardrop shape looks unique and beautiful on this car. The wheel centres on the wheels are weighted making them stay straight no matter the wheel position and at high speeds the car looks like it's floating due to these wheel centres. As you might notice here that most of the panels that are supposed to be silver chrome is black chrome. It is because it is a Black Badge Edition.

 Interior

The interior of this car is truly a Rolls-Royce. The interior is white and has a nice and expensive feel to by look wise and when you touch it. The mats are generally made of lamb wool but it may depend on the owner for what he wishes. The are also many infinity symbols in the interior which represents the Black Badge. There is literally no plastic on the interior. It has a BMW iDrive system which pops out on the push of the button when needed and when hidden there is a tactical carbon weave pattern to the panels that cover it. Everything is beautifully laid out in the interior to give you a feel of a premium car. Instead of a digital gauge-cluster it has an analog gauge-cluster. Everything feels classy. The roof headliner also is not normal, it is a Starlight headliner which mimics the constellations. Even the boot has a nice carpets even though it is going to be used to store stuff but as we know Rolls Royce, it does not cheap out anywhere. The car does not have an airbag, instead it has an air-cushion which even in an accident give the occupants maximum comfort accident. Truly a Rolls Royce.

Power and Output

The Wraith Black Badge is powered by a 6.5L N76 twin-turbo V12 by BMW and an 8-speed ZF 8HP95 automatic transmission which makes 623HP at 5600rpm and 642lb-ft of torque at 4500rpm. It goes from 0-100kmph (0-62mph) in 4.4s. The transmission is a GPS aided transmission which selects the appropriate gear based on the location of the car. Every Rolls Royce is passed through a pound test in which a pound coin is kept on the engine of the car to check for vibration right when the car starts, in on a good speed, to right when it stops and is turned off and if the pound falls, the engine fails the test and is sent back for more tuning and refinement as a Rolls Royce is not supposed to shake due to engine vibration and no road noise is allowed in the car which is blocked by sound insulating material to give the passengers the best experience on road.
